Chapter 36

Lacy

I glanced down at the papers on my desk as Damien retreated into his office. There were two pages for an exam on basketball as well as Damien's small stack of mail. Sighing, I grabbed the tests and started stapling. Almost instantly, my mind wandered back to Damien.

It had only been three days since I last kissed him and felt his firm body wrapped around mine, but it felt like an eternity. Memories of his hands all over me, his arms wrapped around my waist and his lips on mine consumed my mind. It had been nice casually spending time with him this week. But now, after our all too seductive conversation, I wanted more.

I finished stapling the last test then grabbed Damien's mail and headed into his office, ignoring his earlier comment about not to follow him in there. I had to give him his stack of letters. So what if I had ulterior motives for wanting to see him.

Damien glanced up from his computer as soon as I passed the threshold. Before he could say anything, I held up the stack of papers, shut the door, and continued to stroll toward him.

"I finished stapling the tests, and I forgot to give you your mail earlier," I said casually yet cheerfully.

As I approached his desk and handed him the papers, Damien turned in his chair to greet me. His hair looked messier than before like he had been running his hands through it. I envied those hands. Closing my eyes briefly, I took a steadying breath, ignoring my growing urge to wrap my fingers through his dark locks.

"I'm not going to have to worry about you cheating on the test tomorrow, am I?" Damien asked, still in a slightly playful mood.

"No," I replied as I shook my head softly and opened my eyes to meet his gaze. "I honestly didn't read a single question. My mind was elsewhere."

"You're not here to try and distract me, are you?"

"Of course not," I lied, taking a small step closer to him.

"Because I specifically remember asking you not to . . ." Damien stated, but his gaze was running up and down my body.

"Trust me, I'm not nearly that subtle. If I wanted to distract you, I would be much more direct." My voice, soft and husky, mirrored the desire in my eyes.

"Are you sure about that?"

Placing my hands firmly on his shoulders, I crawled up onto his lap, my legs straddling his as I stared into his dark eyes. "Quite sure." I leaned in and kissed him.

Damien wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer. A soft moan escaped his lips as he opened them wider to deepen our kiss.

"Lacy, we shouldn't be doing this . . . We are in school . . . And the door is unlocked," he muttered between kisses, but his hands were on my waist, pushing me back and forth, grinding against him. I moaned as I felt his bulge between my legs. Desire raced through my veins, igniting my body on fire and pooling deep, deep down there.
